Recent storms on and around Valentine’s Day grounded thousands of airplane flights and changed even more automobile traveler’s plans. We may plan to take action at a certain time, but events out of our control often preclude us from taking that action.
I had airline travel plans but was precluded from taking the trip as due to heavy snow I would not have been able to get off the mountain where I live and the flights at the Asheville airport were canceled. Further the connecting flight out of the Charlotte airport and follow-up flights were also canceled.
We do the best we can, but often life does not go as we had planned. We have to remain flexible in life as events change our plans regularly. Regardless of our plans, we have to go with the flow and adapt to those changes personally, professionally and otherwise.
In the same way that life changes you may require changes in your Estate Plan. You should have that reviewed by a qualified Estate Planning Attorney at least every 3 years and especially your Estate Plan when you know there have been changes in your life that affect your Estate Plan.
At the Law Firm of Steven Andrew Jackson, Attorney and Counsellor at Law, we have helped hundreds of families protect themselves and their loved ones, avoid Estate Taxes and Probate Costs, and keep their Estate Plans current with the law through The Customized Protective Estate Planning Solution™.
