In the last year and a half I have really enjoyed Ballroom Dancing. As one of my friends says, “It does not come easy, but when it comes it is lovely.” It takes time and effort but it is great fun for me.
Last week I was near a dance floor when a sixty-six year old gentleman who appeared in excellent health suddenly collapsed while dancing. He was never revived. He was probably dead by the time he hit the floor. There were two nurses nearby who started CPR immediately. Also, there was a defibrillator nearby and it was quickly put to use. Unfortunately he was gone.
There is the shock of seeing someone unexpectedly passing on. It’s even more of a shock if it is someone you know or even if you are slightly familiar with them.
If you love to dance and it’s your time to be “called home” then the dance floor is a great place to go out.
Your thoughts and prayers are always with their loved ones and family of the deceased.
Also from an Estate Planning attorney standpoint you do hope that he had his legal Estate Plan with the right people in place to handle his affairs in a private, timely and cost efficient manner while avoiding the cost, delay, publicity, loss of control of Probate Court. Sorry, but it is the practical part of me.
