The current weather in the Eastern part of the United States is “Is Cold Enough to Kill!”
If you are out in this weather for any extended period of time you could easily suffer from hypothermia or frostbite which could lead to death due to exposure. Not only do you have to dress warmly if you go outside, but you also need to make sure that any vehicle you are traveling in is operating properly and safely. You want to make sure you have enough warm clothing, blankets and etc. in the event your vehicle breaks down. If you leave your residence you will need to be dressed warmly covering as much exposed skin as possible, including wearing hats, gloves, boots, layers of clothing including a top coat.
We never know when abrupt and dangerous weather may come such as an Arctic Blast from the north, Hurricanes strike the coast and Tornadoes hit other parts of the country. Storms, sudden illness, or many other things can catch us unprepared.
It’s best to be as prepared as possible. In the winter keep and have proper clothing for the weather. It’s also good to have done prior planning for items like having a first aid kit in your automobile, jumper cables, chains in the trunk, blankets, flashlights, flares and other such items for difficult winter weather.
