Hall of Fame baseball player Tony Gwynn died at the age of 54 after a long battle with cancer.
I have always been amazed by how many widows I have met who were in their 50’s. It seems many men, and women, die of heart attacks or cancer more so in their 50’s. Our odds of dying in a given year greatly increase over time. We never know when our time is going to be called and we will pass on.
We need to keep our Estate Plan current, including who we authorize to help and make sure that they have authority in the event we become sick. Making sure our Health Care Powers cross State lines and work in other States is also necessary. We need to make sure we have the right people in place in our Estate Plan in the event that we become sick or pass on and that our Estate Plan has control of what we own so that we can avoid the expense, delay and publicity of Probate Court.
At the Law Firm of Steven Andrew Jackson, Attorney and Counsellor at Law, we have helped hundreds of families protect themselves and their loved ones, avoid Estate Taxes and Probate Costs, and keep their Estate Plans current with the law through The Customized Protective Estate Planning Solution™.
