This year will be a most interesting year as we move toward a Presidential Election, plus many other federal, state, and local positions that are up for election. The “kick the can down the road” patch on the tax code expires at the end of 2012, many of the “Bush tax cuts” expire, and we automatically return to higher tax rates. We are pulling down troops out of Iraq after almost a decade of occupation. We continue to have a large number of troops in Afghanistan after a number of years. The economy remains flat, but has lifted some.
However…we are a country of great optimism and are still the “economic engine of the world.” We have a fresh canvas, a blank page, and can “change the channel” if we want to change our lives. What changes will you make for the positive?
